The Vemuram Shanks ODS-1 is a boutique overdrive/distortion developed in collaboration between John Shanks and Vemuram in Japan. Its design combines the smoothness and warmth of a Dumble-style overdrive with the attack and clarity of a classic 808, delivering a versatile, elegant, and characterful tone.
It operates internally at 18 volts, giving it a wide dynamic range, more headroom, and a more open response. It sounds articulate, harmonically rich, and with natural compression ideal for both thick rhythms and expressive, defined solos.
