This 1969 Ampeg SVT Impulse Responses pack brings to life the legendary sound of the most recorded bass in history. Using high-end microphones such as the U47, MD-421, EVRE-20, and Beta 52A, we managed to preserve all the warmth, depth, and vintage character of the B-15N. The collection includes 4 Mono Mics, 6 Blending Mics, and a Favorite Mix, for a total of 11 IRs ready for recording or live performance. This is the pure essence of classic groove, ready for your modern basses.

TONE AND STUDIO FIDELITY

All our IRs have been normalized and optimized using the same technical process as our presets . This ensures that the IRs can be freely interchanged between any of our presets, always maintaining a balanced, consistent, and professional result.

This means that no matter which Impulse Response package you purchase, you can later supplement it with other Presets packages and use them together, as they have all been designed to work consistently and premiumally in any scenario.

Ampeg SVT 1969 – Impulse Response Collection

The 1969 Ampeg SVT needs no introduction for those familiar with the history of the electric bass. Originally designed for recording studios, its deep, round sound with that natural vintage brilliance set the tone for soul, R&B, and funk in the 60s and 70s. This was the amplifier used by James Jamerson, Carol Kaye, and many of the most influential bassists of all time.

But what makes this collection unique is not just the amplifier. It's where and how it was captured.

We used a selection of high-end microphones: U47, MD-421, EB-20, and Beta 52A, mounted in carefully selected positions to achieve maximum fidelity and expression.

All microphones went through world-class preamps: the legendary Neve 1073 and the versatile API 512C, known for their analog warmth and ability to highlight every nuance of the sound.

The result is a collection of 11 Impulse Responses:

  • 4 Mono Mics
  • 6 Blending Mics
  • 1 Favorite Mix that summarizes the entire sonic experience in a ready-to-play file.

Each IR captures the soul of the SVT with surgical precision, respecting its dynamics, its natural tube compression, and that magic that only happens when vintage is recorded with modern standards.

Compatible with all IR-supported equipment, whether on digital pedalboards, DAWs, plugins, or modelers.

Ideal for recording, live performance, or reamping: transforms any pedal or multi-effect into a 60s studio bass channel.

Professional artists are already integrating these IRs into their signal chains, bringing this classic sound to current tours and productions.

And the best part: what was once only accessible to large studios, today you can have it on your pedalboard, in seconds.
