TL-Bassman is a pack of captures of the 1959 Fender Bassman, made in its best positions to preserve its original character and dynamics.
Developed in collaboration with Javier Serrano, and compatible with multiple capture and tone modeling platforms.

TONE AND STUDIO FIDELITY

All our Captures have been standardized and optimized within the same technical process as our IRs and Presets . This ensures that IRs can be freely interchanged between any of our Captures, always maintaining a balanced, consistent, and professional result.

This means that no matter which Capture package you purchase, you can later complement it with other IR packages and use them together, as they have all been designed to work consistently and premiumally in any scenario.

The TL-BASSMAN 59 captures the essence of the legendary 1959 Fender Bassman, one of the most iconic amplifiers in electric guitar history, renowned for its harmonic depth, dynamic response, and open, organic vintage character. The captures range from three-dimensional cleans with natural body and compression to pushed sounds with warm breakup, rich harmonics, and an extremely musical response.

Developed in collaboration with Javier Serrano, this pack explores some of the most inspiring tones of the original 1959 Bassman, including natural captures and boosted setups with carefully selected overdrives, offering a professional tonal experience ready for recording or live performance.

Each of the above captures also includes its D.I. version, meaning a direct take without cabinet simulation, allowing you to use the pure amplifier sound with your own IRs or external configurations.
These D.I. versions are ideal for those who want to integrate their own impulse responses or experiment with different combinations of virtual cabinets and microphones, while maintaining the original character of the Ecstasy.

How to Get the Cortex captures?

Once your purchase is complete, we will need to send you the captures manually via Neural DSP's Cortex Cloud app, available for iOS and Android.

To receive them, you must have the app installed and an active account. (If you don't have an account yet, you can create one from within the application.)

Here's how you'll receive your captures:

Enter your Cortex Cloud app username in the Username field above or send it to us at support@tonelabstore.com with your order number.
Without this information, we will not be able to send your captures. Once we receive your order, ToneLab will follow you within the app.
Make sure you follow “ToneLab” within Cortex Cloud.
This will allow us to connect as “friends” on the platform.
If you don't follow us, the app will not allow us to send you the captures.
Once your order is confirmed and we are both connected within the app, we will send you the captures directly via Cortex Cloud.
We group the captures within presets, so you will receive one (or more) presets that include all the captures in the pack.
You will find them in your Quad Cortex in the “Shared with me” section.
Delivery may take up to 2 business days, although orders are usually shipped in less than 48 hours.
This process is manual and requires us to send them one by one, but we will do our best to deliver them to you as quickly as possible.
